Why isn’t it free?+
You pay a published, one-time price for an independent review. We do not sell your documents or contact details to installers, collect referral fees, or rank companies. We are accountable to you, the homeowner.
What do I actually get?+
A plain-language report with a clear Pass / Revise / Flag result, every check we ran, and things to check before you sign. Delivered on screen and yours to keep, share, or print.
What documents do I need?+
Send your solar proposal for Bid Review. For Bid + Contract Review, include the contract you would sign and the proposal so we can compare them. If you only have the contract, we explain what we could not compare without the proposal. PDFs, photos, and screenshots are fine. An electricity bill is optional but recommended. Upload one recent bill, including its 12-month usage history if shown, to help us check the proposal against your electricity use.
Can I add my contract later?+
Yes. Start with Bid Review for $49. If you've already paid for that proposal, email support@bidproof.com when its contract is ready. Include the email address used for your review and your original order or report link. We'll arrange the contract review for the same proposal for $50 more, bringing your total to $99. Contact us before paying for another review, and send the contract before you sign.
What if you can’t read my bid?+
We explain what we couldn’t check and why. Checks without enough information are marked “Not checked” in your report, with the information needed to assess them.
How long does a review take?+
Automated reviews are completed instantly. If your bid needs a human review, expect your report within 2 business days, usually sooner.
Is this legal advice?+
No. Contract review reports what the document says and what it leaves out. BidProof is not a law firm.
Do you sell my information to installers?+
No. We do not sell your documents or contact details, collect a referral fee when you sign, or rank companies. The review is written for the homeowner.
What is the refund policy?+
If the documents you send do not contain enough for us to run a review, we refund you. If we cannot deliver a report for a reason on our side, we refund you. Details live in the
Terms of Service.
